Urban Forest Initiative is excited to be joined for our September Seminar by Dr. Chris Barton, Professor of Forest Hydrology & Watershed Management at UK. Dr. Barton also the Founder & President of Green Forests Work, an organization that works throughout Appalachia, as well as Australia, to restore formerly mined sites. As the organization's website says, since 2009 Green Forests Work has planted more than 7.5 million trees on over 15,000 acres.
Join us at the Davis Marksbury Building (329 Rose St.) on the UK campus for light refreshments at 6:00pm, and Dr. Barton's lecture at 7:00pm, followed by Q&A.
