Event Description

Oak Flakes, Wool Sower, Oak Apples, and Jumping are some of the more colorful tree galls common to our forests and landscapes. Some of the oddest curiosities on our trees are in fact insect galls - those odd-shaped structures that appear on leaves and sometimes stems. Our special guest, Dr. Michael Skvarla, Entomologist for Penn State and podcast co-host of the Arthro-pod, will explain what these insects are and how to recognize their galls.

Pre-registration is required for this event. Visit https://kentuckyhortnews.com/horticulture-webinar-wednesdays/season-four/ and click on the program title to register.
