Event Description

When we think of providing flowers for pollinators, we mostly think about perennials and shrubs, but trees are the biggest supporters of pollinators! Join us for a tree walk at Springhouse Gardens to learn which trees will have the biggest impact on your pollinators while also delighting you, from hosting caterpillars, to providing nectar and sap for adult bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators.

We will be walking and standing on uneven ground, some of it paved and some on grass or dirt as we stroll through the gardens and the retail area, so please wear comfortable footwear, and clothing appropriate for the weather of the day.

Location Directions: Outbound Harrodsburg Road (Hwy 68) 4 miles past Man o'War about one minute past Southland Christian Church, turn right on Rte 3375 and Springhouse Gardens is on the left. Park, and meet by the wood Pavilion in the Garden Center, on the circular patio behind the checkout area.

This event is kid-friendly.
