A Walk Along the Hickman Creek- Exploring Its Trees and Their Impact
Hickman Creek Conservancy is a nonprofit organization working to improve the water quality of the Hickman Creek watershed through education, outreach, and restoration efforts. We will be walking along West Hickman Creek at Veterans Park, examining various tree species found there, and discussing their impact on water quality and our community. All are welcome to this family-friendly event! Please wear close-toed shoes and we recommend long pants.
We will meet at Veterans Park (650 Southpoint Drive, Lexington, KY). Enter through the Southpoint Drive entrance and head back behind the baseball fields near the playground, picnic shelter, and the memorial. We will head down to the creek from there.
