Come see the 1 year anniversary of a native tree planting, featuring 120 trees! We invite Tree Week participants to come to the floodplain in Veterans Park, off the walking trail, to view approximately 30 species of Kentucky native trees planted by neighbors in Cumberland Hill last November. The project was funded by LFCUG and Kathy Plomin to improve storm water drainage in compacted soil. Linda Klink will be conducting the tours and provide information about the grant, the trees and the effects of our low summer rainfall. Russ Turpin of Eco Gro will be in attendance to discuss the grant, his work in the project and answer any questions about the trees.

This event is kid-friendly.

The site is directly behind 1001 Watermill Lane which is at the end of the court. Watermill Lane is in Cumberland Hill off Saron Drive. There is limited parking in front of the house or the site can be accessed from Rockbridge parking lot and using the walking path toward Veterans Park school.
