Reforesting the Bluegrass: Invasive Species Removal Work Day
We will remove invasive trees and shrubs from a site at Masterson Station Park planted as part of the Reforest the Bluegrass program. If you have handsaws, pruning shears, loppers, or gloves, bring them! Tools will also be provided if you don't have your own. This event is being coordinated by the UK Lewis Honors College, LFUCG Urban Forestry, UK Dept of Forestry and Natural Resources, UK Forestry Extension, UK Forestry Club, and the Fayette County Conservation District and sponsored by A Cup of Commonwealth and North Lime Coffee and Donuts Clays Mill.
Please park at the parking lot by the splashpad, then walk down the hill to the site where work will be occurring.
