Tree Planting and Creek Sweep

Description

Celebrate Tree Week in Pine Meadows Park and along the Vaughn Branch of the Wolf Run Watershed.  Come help us plant trees and participate in an educational session with botanist and plant ecologist, Will Overbeck. Will is a native of Pine Meadows and is a scientific consultant for Friends of Wolf Run Watershed. He has been working to clear invasive plants and restore native trees and plants to the section of the Vaughn Branch in Pine Meadows.  We will also be doing a creek sweep and walk through the area. Masks are required for anyone over the age of 5 years and we will be following appropriate social distancing guidelines.

Pine Meadows Park near the bridge on Pine Meadow Road. Parking is available on Pine Meadow Road or Tazewell Drive. (1631 Tazewell Drive, Lexington, KY 40504)
