urban forest initiative tree week 2020 autumn field course

Description

As we experience the glory of trees and forests in autum, as trees explode into color, we will experience the beauty of Lexington Cemetery and explore the science of autumn colors, leaf fall, and root growth. We will be walking through the cemetery, so please dress for the weather. If you have them, pruning shears or a pocket knife would be useful. A hand lens or magnifying glass would be helpful but not necessary. This is a kid-friendly event. This is a safe event requiring physical distancing and masks worn properly.

NOTE: You must register for and attend the October 14 webinar to be eligible for this event. Tickets are free, but required. Register at https://kimmerer.com/online/ under "Biology of Autumn".
