urban forest initiative tree week 2020 lexington cemetery conifer walk

Join UK Herbarium Curator Robert Paratley for a guided walk through the Lexington Cemetery highlighting their diverse conifer collection. This collection includes several native Kentucky species and typical ornamentals like Norway spruce, but also specimens seldom seen in our area outside of specialized gardens and plantings, such as pond-cypress, Douglas-fir, Atlas cedar, Oriental spruce, Nordmann fir, European larch, golden larch, and Cryptomeria (Japanese-cedar).

This event will be limited to 12 people, and masks and social-distancing will be required for the entire event. Details on reserving a spot are forthcoming.
