Empowering Communities to Lead Sustainable Urban Tree Initiatives
Description
Come lend your voices to the dialog about how to effectively engage neighborhoods in tree initiatives across Lexington. Guest panelist will include, Heather Wilson - Municipal Arborist with LFUCG, Saunda Richardson Coleman - Citizen Tree Activist, Heather Hyden - former Community Advocate for North Limestone Community Development (NoLi), and international guest Rupert Bentley Walls - Senior Arborist for London's Hackney Borough. The panel will be moderated by Dakota Smith, a senior in the Department of Community & Leadership Development in UK's College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. A 30 minute coffee social will kick off the panel from 9 to 9:30 am. This event is sponsored by the Department of Community & Leadership Development
