Event Description

Reforest the Bluegrass is an award-winning community tree planting event hosted by LFUCG for over 20 years. We will tour Reforest the Bluegrass sites at Masterson Station Park planted in 2000 and 2019, and remove invasive species from the patch planted in 2000. Everyone is welcome! Dress weather-appropriate (rain gear may be necessary; boots recommended; gloves will be provided, but bring your own if you like); tools will be provided. Volunteers will help with cutting and removing invasive species, primarily Amur honeysuckle, from the site.
