Arbor Day at The Arboretum
Annual celebration of Arbor Day--in a different way due to COVID-19. See a schedule of events below.
- 8:30 - Bring garden items for Plant Exchange in grass/overflow parking lot
- 9 am - Plant Exchange starts
- 10 am - Proclamation of Arbor Day outside Kentucky Children's Garden
- 10:30 am - Kentucky Children's Garden opens (free admission thanks to Presenting Sponsor Kentucky Utilities). Help Dave Leonard plant the Arbor Day tree in the Kentucky Children's Garden.
- 11:15 - Ask an Arborist with Dave Leonard
- 1:30 pm and 3 pm - Arboretum Tree Canopy Tours with Emily Ellingson and Jesse Dahl
- 5 pm - Kentucky Children's Garden closes
MASKS MUST BE WORN IN ALL INDOOR SPACES (Visitor Center, restrooms, and outdoor restrooms) AND when you can't stay 6 feet away from others.
FOOD FOR PURCHASE will be available from 8:30 - 10:30 am (coffee) and from 11 - 2 pm (TBD). Must purchase food vouchers/tickets inside Visitor Center. Cash, Visa and MasterCard accepted. NO REFUNDS IN CASE OF EVENT CANCELLATION.
