Adopt-A-Tree @ Home
Join students from across Lexington by adopting your favorite neighborhood tree!
- Look out your window. Walk around your neighborhood. What tree stands out to you? Which tree would you call your favorite?
- After finding your favorite tree and identifying its species using any of the links on the right (bottom of the page if on mobile), Adopt Your Tree by clicking on THIS FORM.
- Help your school win Adopt-A-Tree Tree Markers for your school's campus trees by submitting your Adopted Tree on THIS FORM.
TEACHERS: Want to integrate this into your lesson? Students will earn an Adopt-A-Tree certificate when they submit their tree and can share their certificate with you.
Mindfulness Tree Walk
- Tree walks facilitate both stress reduction and mindfulness. Literature in ecology and healthcare suggest that being in nature stimulates stronger holistic health.
