Climate Conversations: Imagining a better future together
“It is unequivocal that human influence has warmed the atmosphere, ocean and land” (IPCC, Sixth Assessment Report, 2021). With this in mind, we must look to each other to imagine and build a better future together. Turning to our shared community in times of fear and uncertainty allows us to find strength, empathy, and creativity in the face of a changing climate. Climate Conversations will be a gathering for community members to share their ideas about how we can work together to address climate change and develop adaptation strategies, starting with a more robust urban tree canopy. Working in community, we can get the facts, find productive ways to respond to climate change, and imagine new ways of living that invite people to connect with the natural world around them.
