> Saucer Magnolia

 > On UK Campus

This tree is important to us because it truly exemplifies beauty in what we would see with the natural beauty on campus outside the construction that has been ongoing for a while. The way that this specific Saucer Magnolia looks like during early spring shows how the University of Kentucky's campus is alive and well as well as how campus is special to us all when it comes down to the fall and spring semesters. There is nothing like walking through the old Kirwan/Blanding dorm complexes which have been left relatively vacant to see a huge, beautiful tree that is budding pink and white flowers. Since our campus organization currently resides at the Kirwan 1 dorm, we have walked by this Saucer Magnolia numerous times to watch its bloom of these flowers; this is why we chose this specific tree of anything else on campus to adopt.
