Narrative
This tree is important to us due to the fact that is a very large and old tree, that is nearby allowing us to keep watch over it. Larger trees provide a more meaningful impact on the environment, making their preservation a greater importance over smaller trees. Also the historical value of the tree is greatly important to us as this tree has seen many generations, and has watched Lexington and the University of Kentucky born from its infancy and grow to what it is now.
