Narrative
The American hornbeam tree we found is a small but very interesting species. The tree is in its mature form at about 20-30 ft tall. Currently it has green leaves but as fall approaches the leaves will turn yellow-orange as typically of other trees. Our tree has some curvy edges, which means it would be a great climbing tree for any child or adult if you're into that. This tree to us reminds us a time in our life when climbing trees at our grandparents homes in Kentucky was a norm. The days of running in the leaves and hanging upside down show us a glimpse to our childhoods and remind us of home. To us this is our reminiscing tree.
